The HRPDC produces and compiles data on a variety of planning and economic topics. There are raw data available in the form of spreadsheets and GIS files as well as compiled data products and visualizations such as reports, printable maps, interactive maps, dashboards, and Story Maps. We also have an extensive historical aerial imagery collection.

Regional Broadband
In 2018, the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) endorsed the construction of a regional fiber network that will connect to the subsea transatlantic cables that have come ashore in Virginia Beach and spread this ultrafast fiber network throughout the region.

Help 2 Others (H2O) Water Assistance Program
H2O was established in 1999 by the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission with the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) and the public utilities departments of several localities.

Transportation
The Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO) is the body created by the Hampton Roads localities and appropriate state and federal agencies to perform the duties of an MPO under federal regulations. The HRPDC provides staffing for the HRTPO to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities and coordinate efforts with the Transportation District Commission of Hampton Roads (HRT), Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA), and VDOT.
